Advantages of Black Diamond™ Screens


Dark Environment

In a dark environment standard screens scatter light onto the walls, floors, and ceilings only to be reflected back onto the screen washing out the picture. Black Diamond reduces light scatter by over 75%, increasing viewer immersion and contrast.

Bright Environment

In a bright environment Black Diamond is the only screen that absorbs all unwanted ambient light in a room. Ambient light is absorbed above, below, and even in the path of the projector, allowing the screen to maintain and preserve the projector's contrast. Only the projector's light is reflected back into the viewers' eyes, creating over 300% more contrast compared to all other screens.

Truly Black

Higher aesthetic appeal when the projector is off - the screen material looks like a flat panel display. Black is the native screen material color.

Gamma Maestro HD is an industry leading sound permeable woven front projection material specially developed for use with speakers behind the screen in light controlled environments. Gamma Maestro HD provides a wide viewing angle, high contrast, bright picture, and excellent color accuracy. The ultra fine woven pattern on Gamma Maestro HD has optimized reflective resolution for 1080p HD projectors with no moire effects and top of the line audio purity without the need for any electronic equalization.

Lunar Maestro HD's black level and color saturation enhancement combined with excellent color neutrality, HD resolution, brightness uniformity, and wide viewing angles combine to make it an excellent screen for use with a bright projector in both moderately lit and dark environments.

Lunar Maestro's acoustic characteristics provide industry leading audio clarity with a maximum measured variance of +2 -1 db from 20 to 20k Hz.

Lunar Maestro HD front projection screen material is intended for use in dim to moderately lit environments with bright projectors. It is still helpful to keep room lighting focused away from the screen as this material does not absorb ambient light. Refer to SI's Screen Wizard online for further advice on attaining SMPTE standards in each different situation.

Gamma HD Screen Material (Projector Screen Gain 1.1 Gain) Screen Innovations Gamma HD 0.8 gain Screen Material

Gamma HD is a front projection material which is a very popular for use in dark theater environments. Gamma provides a wide viewing angle, high contrast, bright picture and excellent color accuracy. Gamma is available on Reference, Performance, and Retractable Edition Projection Screens.

Maximum Seamless Sizes : 2.35:1 aspect ratio - 205" max seamless size, 16:9 aspect ratio - 205" max seamless size, 4:3 aspect ratio - 168" max seamless size.
